Studiospace Lange Strasse 31
Studiospace is a dynamically evolving space dedicated to exploring artistic practice, visual thinking and fostering encounters and communication within the arts. It welcomes anyone interested in the transformative power of art.
The Studiospace has set itself the task of promoting collective learning, experimentation and the exchange of knowledge. It organises short-term exhibitions featuring international and national artists, and offers workshops, workshop talks and workshop events.
The studio space is organized by artist Carolin Kropff.
The studio space's project work is kindly supported by the Kulturamt Frankfurt and Frauenreferat.
The Workshops
Textile arts – a living tradition, creative potential
Textile art is a living discipline with a rich and eventful history. Its craft techniques are tools that reveal the inherent qualities of the materials and make them usable. Passing on this knowledge safeguards a cultural heritage dating back millennia and makes it accessible to future generations.
As an artist and bespotte tailor, I’ll guide you in discovering creative processes and putting artistic strategies into practice.
What happens when we view talking not merely as a means of exchange, but as a tool for thinking? When we understand making not merely as production, but as a process of discovery? It is precisely at this intersection that the Workshop Talks take place. They are a blend of artist talk and lecture, an invitation to get involved – and thus become a shared space for thinking, meeting and taking action.
In the true spirit of quilting bees, I invite you to be part of an open, supportive community. We come together in a relaxed atmosphere to share ideas and work on our own projects. My studio is at your disposal.
Participation in workshops and events is at your own risk.
