Being Eve Journey

It's all about connecting now!

Felicity Brown in an email conversation.

Being Eve Journey is both a creative exploration and a documentary about the people we encounter by chance. In this project, dressmaking becomes a medium that allows us to enter people's lives and share their stories. Through the dress pieces, we capture and document moments of connection and self-expression.

In 2017, alongside British artist and fashion designer Felicity Brown, we traveled to New Mexico with John Milton's poem Paradise Lost, some fabrics, and pigments in our luggage. We found an ideal temporary home at the Bodhi Mandala Zen Center in Jemez Springs, where we met Hosen, Seyeon, Myra, and Glen.

Art and dressmaking have the power to transform how we feel about ourselves, how we perceive our lives, and what we envision for our future. We call this the transformative quality of art. Through the Being Eve Journey, our ambition is to offer this transformative experience and spark creativity. We believe that fashion can change lives and has the potential to serve a greater community.

The Being Eve Journey continues a series of documented travels by Felicity Brown, which have taken place across the USA and Europe since 2013. The photographs featured here are a curated selection. The full body of work is ongoing and evolving.
