jourUNfixe - Workshop Talks
The workshop talks explore the intersection of art, craftsmanship, and society. With changing focal points, artistic ideas and craft methods are presented, which can be discussed and tried out during participation. References are made to strategies of artistic production, contemporary positions in art, and art history. Artists and theorists provide insights into specific thematic areas, such as authorship in art, the use of fibers and textiles as artistic materials, quilting and embroidery as forms of expression, and the significance of color in art. The first jourUNfixe took place in collaboration with art historian Britta Kadolsky and was dedicated to the medium of textiles, specifically embroidery in art.
