Each event runs from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

This is a chance to gather in a relaxed atmosphere, share ideas, work on your own projects, or simply enjoy the inspiration and creativity of others. The space is open to everyone—whether you’re just discovering quilting and patchwork or looking to deepen your practice.

Beginners and experienced quilters alike are welcome! I look forward to creating a space together where we can share knowledge and develop new friendships.

A quilting bee is a communal gathering where people come together to work on textile projects—often a large quilt that would take a single person a long time to complete.

Originally, quilting bees were lively neighborhood events where women would sew together, exchange techniques, and foster community. In addition to the practical work, the focus was always on togetherness: mutual support, inspiration, and sharing knowledge.

In keeping with this tradition, the quilting bee takes place as a making session in my studio. In a relaxed atmosphere, we meet to exchange ideas, work on our own projects together with others, and inspire each other. The session is aimed at anyone who is enthusiastic about patchwork, quilting, and handicrafts and would like to deepen their practice.

In keeping with the spirit of historical quilting bees, slow stitching takes center stage—conscious, low-paced work done by hand. In addition to quilting and patchwork projects, knitting, crocheting, and embroidery are also welcome. Sewing machines can be used if needed, but they are not the focus.

The quilting bee is not a class, but an open workspace and meeting place. An extensive handicraft and textile library is available, as well as coffee and tea – an invitation to take your time, immerse yourself in your work, and be part of a collaborative, creative group.

Participation See: 10 € (incl. studio use & a small material selection). 5 € for former workshop participants.

An informal registration is required.

Please note: This is not a workshop!

Participation in the Bee is at your own risk.
