Next dates:

Saturday, July 4, 2026

Each event runs from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Here you can come together in a relaxed atmosphere to chat, work on your own projects, or simply enjoy the company of others. My studio is at your disposal.

I look forward to creating a space with you where knowledge is shared, things take shape, and new friendships are formed.

Originally, quilting bees were lively neighborhood gatherings where women sewed together, exchanged knowledge and ideas, and helped one another. Beyond the practical work, the sense of community was what mattered most.

In keeping with this tradition, the quilting bee takes place as a making session in my studio. In a relaxed atmosphere, we meet to exchange ideas, work on our own projects in the company of others and inspire one another. The session is open to anyone who is passionate about patchwork, quilting, and handicrafts and would like to share their knowledge and deepen their skills. In addition to quilting and patchwork projects, knitting, crocheting, and embroidery are also welcome. Sewing machines are available if needed but are not the focus of the sessions.

You’ll have access to an extensive library of inspiring books, such as the groundbreaking ´Worn´ by Sofi Thanhauser and ´Women’s Work by Elizabeth Wayland Barber, which explore the making and significance of textiles throughout history, as well as books on embroidery, dyeing, shibori, ribbon weaving, felting, pattern drafting, craftivism, patchwork from Florida, England, and Italy, Viking sails spun from wool, and woven fabrics that served as currency until the 19th century.

The quilting bee is not a class, but an open work- and meeting place.

Participation See: 10 € (incl. studio use & a small material selection, coffee, tea). 5 € for former workshop participants.

An informal registration is required.

Please note: This is not a workshop!

Participation in the Bee is at your own risk.
