Carolin Kropff's artistic work includes painting, the textile arts, working with paper, SEA projects (Socially Engaged Art Projects) and art mediation.

In 2020, she founded STUDIOSPACE Lange Strasse 31, which serves as a platform for researching artistic processes and experimenting of forms of communication in art. Creative processes and backgrounds are explored in its studio workshop, often in collaboration with others.

Carolin Kropff is passionate about preserving and passing on rare textile craft methods:

the art of sewing by hand, Manx Log Cabin, sewing machine as a creative tool, Sashiko workshops. More workshops will be added, such as Hawaiian appliqué patchwork, felting, spinning with a drop spindle, band weaving from the Andes, Osage ribbonwork, Korean bogaji, Italian trapunto and quilting inspired by the Siddi quilts - kawandi - from India.​​
